Mouth Washington album release show and tour starts tomorrow night at SPACE

Maybe you’ve noticed that one our featured albums for the last week has been Don’t Mean, the newest release from the Portland Dirigimus Cooperative noise-onslaught of Zach and Max Hansen, alongside Ian Gierhan and Sam Landry — better known as the four piece Mouth Washington.

Don’t Mean is everything you’ve come to expect from the band (and that’s still a great thing), and you’ll be able to hear live cuts from the new album tomorrow night at their album release show at SPACE, starting at 8 p.m.

Supporting Mouth Washington’s album release show tomorrow will be Portland’s Haru Bangs, Cheerwine, and the wall-of-fuzz of Sterling Black.

Tomorrow night’s show at SPACE also kicks off Mouth Washington’s March tour, supporting Don’t Mean — taking the four piece to far-and-distant lands such as Atlantic City in New Jersey. Dates for the March tour are:

  • Friday, March 20: Portland, ME / SPACE Gallery, w/Haru Bangs, Cheerwine, Sterling Black
  • Saturday, March 21: Sabattus, ME / House Show w/Favorite People Day
  • Sunday, March 22: Pourtsmouth, NH / Red Bood, w/ Born Under a Bad Sign (special Refused tribute set) & Battery Steele
  • Monday, March 23: Amherst, MA / UMass, w/ Jacob Augustine, Derive & Synthesia
  • Tuesday, March 24: Hadley, MA / Asbestos Farm, w/Wydyde
  • Friday March 26: Poughsie, NY / The Pizza Show, w/Bedrock Division, Mayfair
  • Saturday, March 27: Bethleham, PA / Seergevich, Ghost Dads and Lvlr Still
  • Sunday, March 28: Atlantic City, NJ / Billing TBA — But let’s all hope for a back-to-front set of Bruce’s Nebraska (or The River — if you want to get ambitious)

Don’t Mean is available right now on the Mouth Washington Bandcamp for $6 — and while you’re there. feel free to oggle their new shirt designed by HillyTown and Portland favorite, Kris Johnsen.
