This has been out there for a few weeks, but maybe you haven’t checked it out yet.

Phantom Buffalo (patron saints of this little website) are getting ready to release their new album, Tadaloora, and put together a teaser video (above) and VIDEO GAME to promote it. In the game, you get to tool around the world of the album. Seriously cool stuff.

Portland roots band This Way return from a 9-month break from local shows with a headlining gig this Saturday (2/25) at Empire. Have you seen their new stage yet? We haven’t but are curious to see how the venue changed things up – from what we heard a few months back the plan sounded very promising. Joining them will be Boston’s increasingly popular Americana act, Kingsley Flood, as well as one of Portland’s finest bluegrass bands, Tricky Britches. This Way teamed up with Jacob Perry of My Name Productions to craft this brand new video for their track, “Take It All (Or Leave It All Behind)”, shot in downtown Portland and Peaks Island. Check it out below.

While in Brooklyn for a show recently, Audrey Ryan – a Boston-based Maine native, did a Hear and There video session on the street with Breakthru Radio for her song “Way I Am.” Watch it below:

Audrey has a book out. The Need To Be Heard documents the challenges of independent music through a slew of insightful interviews. She’ll be performing and reading from it this Friday at the Oak and the Ax in Biddeford, along with Guy Capecelactro III, who also has a new book out.

New Samuel James Video – “Nineteen”

Portland musician Samuel James has just released a new video for his song “Nineteen.” The clip was directed by local filmmaker Allen Baldwin and features a refreshing mix of live footage and studio shots for the sparse blues song.

Samuel James plays in Portland this Friday with G. Love at the Maine State Pier and again on July 22 at One Longfellow.
