These things just keep coming up faster and faster don’t they? Tomorrow it’s round 3 of HillyTown Presents shows at Union Hall in Brooklyn, NY. This time around we’ve got Portland garage noise band Great Western Plain sharing the fun with Shark? and Field Mouse (who’ve been getting some great press lately)! We must be on to something with this one, since even the New Yorker recommended the show.
Shark?
“These guys are probably the most fun band playing music in New York right now. They let everything go on stage, and that means buckets of sweat and undeniably catchy rock tunes.†– Pop Tarts Suck Toasted
Field Mouse
Field Mouse is a four-piece dream pop band from Brooklyn, NY. Seamlessly interweaving influences from shoegaze, indie, and power pop, Field Mouse offers lush sonic textures and expansive soundscapes to complement the airy, wistful vocals of singer/guitarist Rachel Browne. Through complex and delicate harmonies, the songwriting of Browne and guitarist Andrew Futral breathes new life into common themes of lost love and renewal.
Great Western Plain
Started in December of 2010, Great Western Plain is the combination of childhood friends, and college classmates, coming together to play dirty, loud, and messy garage rock.
