Can anyone give me any information about this venue? I have Googled in vain. Is it general admission? A flat surface with a raised stage? Is it in the street? Etc. The best I have found is the location on a map and that Baystock takes place there. It is a mystery venue. Any insight would be appreciated.
Hi Doug.
The Maine State Pier is exactly what it sounds like – a pier off Commercial Street in Portland, Maine! For events like this , they build a special stage. Tickets are usually available in advance – I will keep an eye out for ticket info as the date approaches, but you may want to do some searches on Pollstar and Ticketmaster to try and find out.
Thank you. My wife and I have been to Portland twice and really enjoyed it (Maine in general, really). We are considering coming to Portland for our annual summer Wilcotrip. How would you rate the Pier as a concert venue? Thanks again.
It’s similar to other temporary outdoor venues that I’ve seen in other cities, but definitely on a smaller level. It’s right downtown though, so that’s very convenient.
