Coming out in May as a dual-cassette, Electric Temple Presents: Gaman – A Ceremony for Japan, is 24 tracks of ambiance, noise, psych, lo-fi bedroom garage pop, and everything in between, with proceeds going to Shelterbox, who are working to provide emergency shelter and essential supplies to families impacted by disasters. Portland’s own Herbcraft contributes the track “Sunset Glow“, nestled up against Sic Alps (one of the more widely-known participating acts on here, as far as I can tell). Portland music fans might also recognize Animal Hospital, the one-man band/electronic noise machine persona of Kevin Micka, who has played in town a few times (but is probably due for another visit soon).
