Brooklyn’s Milagres (formerly known as The Secret Life Of Sofia) craft beautifully ambitious music centered around the work of songwriter Kyle Wilson. Seven Summits is about his obsession with mountain climbing and was recorded on an abandoned farm in Massachusetts.

I’ve known Kyle (and the rest of the band) for years now, having shared a practice space with them in Brooklyn (sorry about all those missing mics and cables, I swear it wasn’t me!) and I’ve seen them go through a lot of changes and developments, always knowing that they had a bigger plan in mind. Now, they’re pretty far along on their way to achieving everything they’ve been working towards, and it’s great to see it happening. Tomorrow, Kyle Wilson will play here in Portland as the featured act at the HillyTown Presents show at Slainte.
