True — it’s only been a month since they last played live (then they were supporting Leveret for their album release party for Action At A Distance). But, it looks like the winter hibernation for the neon and synth-filled world of Sunset Hearts is finally starting to is finally ending.
Will it be the summer of 2011 all over again when Sunset Hearts released their debut LP Haunted Cloud and became the soundtrack to many late nights in Portland — as well as the sadly deceased Food Coma TV?
There is only one way to find out — tonight, the slightly slimmed down version of the group will be supporting the Deer Tick side-project, Happiness, at Empire, starting at 9 P.M. tickets are only $7 and the show is 21+.
Come. Dance. Get a few drinks. Buy some merch. Just have a great Sunday night before the slog of Monday morning hits. We’ll see you there — but we can’t call you out of work the next day.
