HillyTown Acoustic Show Thursday! + Picnic

This is just a reminder that we’ve got a great lineup set for tomorrow night’s acoustic show at Mayo Street Arts (10 Mayo Street in East Bayside, Portland). Check out the artists and be there at 8pm for the show. This is an all ages event with a $5 cover. Space is limited so if you want a seat make sure you get there on the early side!

Jacob Augustine
Nate Martinez [Brooklyn, NY]
Denise Dill
D. Gross
Marie Moreshead

We’ve also been working with the kind folks at Picnic to put together the music for the two day Holiday Sale happening this weekend at the Maine Irish Heritage Center. The Maine Radio Project DJs will be spinning music throughout the weekend as well as meeting the community and giving interested potentail DJs a chance to learn about becoming a part of the project. Local musicians should also bring their music to add to the MRP library! Saturday will also have special, stripped-down performances from Theodore Treehouse (who will celebrate the release of their new album later that night with a full concert at SPACE), Jeff Beam (who will celebrate his album release the night before at Empire),
and Computer at Sea. On Sunday, Matt Little (“Get Hot Or Go Home,” WMPG) will throw some rockabilly into the DJ mix, plus we’ll have performances from the Milkman’s Union and In the Audience.

Any general notion of when bands will play on Saturday. Nothing like timing shopping with a little Treehouse.

  • bands starting around 4:30 and closing out the day: Theodore Treehouse (with a stripped down set before their full set at SPACE tonight), Jeff Beam, and Computer At Sea (in that order).
