It’s totally just a coincidence that 75% of our live music coverage here on HillyTown lately has been about Lady Lamb the Beekeeper and o’death (that other 25% apparently goes to Astronautalis – a trend that will likely continue), but we happen to love both of those acts so no complaints here. This weekend, o’death played their first Brooklyn show in about 6 months, and the crowd at The Bell House in Gowanus was ready for it. Portland to Brooklyn transplant Lady Lamb the Beekeeper kicked off the night with a strong solo performance, filling the room with her huge voice even when stepping away from the mic. The Woes kept things moving between the two and as if the lineup wasn’t strong enough to ensure a night of all-out-fun, the Hungry March Band came out to join o’death for their set-closing song “Down To Rest” before leading the crowd out to the front room for an afterparty.
