Ashby has become one of North America’s most sought after guitarists, having been Sarah McLachlan’s guitarist and band leader from 1996 to 2008, during which he accumulated numerous awards and accolades. His television appearances are equally impressive and include: the Grammy Awards, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, David Letterman, SNL and more including motion picture soundtracks.

Local singer/songwriter phenom, Marie Moreshead, will be opening for Sean Ashby. Moreshead has established herself as one of the up-and-coming artists in Portland's music community. Her musical stylings are taking root outside of Maine; in 2009 Colorado’s Rocky Mountain Folk Festival selected her as Honorable Mention from over 700 applicants nation-wide. Marie Moreshead and Sean Ashby will be playing at Slainte Wine Bar and Lounge on Monday, June 14, 2010. The show is 21+ and begins at 8:00 p.m. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and there will be a $5.00 charge at the door. This is Ashby’s only stop in the Port City. His intimate performance will feature songs from his latest album release, “24 Hours of Daylight” (2010).
