I’m heading up to the Midcoast for the weekend for the Camden International Film Festival. If you’re attending, say hi – I’ll be running around to all the screenings and parties as the official photographer for the festival. For those of you sticking around Portland for the next few days, you’ve certainly got your showgoing work cut out for you. Tonight gets crazy with Murder By Death at SPACE (no tickets yet? I wouldn’t wait a minute longer if I were you…) as well as a Bollard birthday party at Geno’s, tomorrow Marnie Stern is at Venue with Dead Man’s Clothes (playing the Portland CMJ showcase!) and Huak while Darien Brahms shares the Port City Music Hall stage with indie-buzz-band Brenda (playing the HillyTown CMJ day party!). Saturday presents a variety of options all around town – but if your ears need a break by that point, I recommend taking a trip up to Camden that night to catch a flick or two, if you can.
By the way, our CMJ Kickstarter campaign is doing great! Please keep pledging and spreading the word about it so we can reach our goal – only a couple weeks left!
