He may not be headed to Texas like some other Maine-based musicians in the coming weeks, but Portland’s favorite bluesman (and according to his bio, the last of the great, black, American troubadours) is about to hit the road for a bit. Samuel James (aka Sugar Smallhouse) plays has a style all his own and is a performer very much worth seeing live. If you get a chance to catch one of these shows, don’t miss out.
