"In 2008, 21 homeless people died on the streets of Portland, Maine. Now with the recession, the Preble Street Resource Center (www.preblestreet.org), a vital source for more and more people these days, is being used - and strained - more than ever before.....

ACTS FOR CHANGE will unite Portland's top talents on stage for an unforgetable day of music and comedy to raise money and just as importantly build awareness and education of how we can all do our "Civic Duty" (as President Obama stated in his Inaugural Address) to evoke a positive change in our community for the immediate and longterm....
